Melbourne Design Week workshop

(Online Education Services, 2026)
Over two days, during Melbourne Design Week 2026, I had the privilege of co-facilitating a workshop alongside my colleagues Carlos Vazquez and Gisela Forciniti. The key focus of the workshop was centred on the itentionally provokative question;
"If AI can teach us anything, what's education for?"
As facilitators, we engaged with professionals from the education sector and fellow members of the OES team, utilising the framework of Hauntology to steer our discussions. This approach allowed us to reflect on the enduring impacts of educational practices from the past (our educational ghosts). Then, once we had identified and named our ghosts as a collective, we were able to then consider how we can direct our attention toward a promising and new educational future that embraces Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance education for all.
This commitment to critical dialogue aligns with my broader mission to foster innovative thinking and ensure that our strategies in education are both relevant and forward-looking.
